Frank X Tolbert2, is a Texas-based artist known for his diverse body of work that encompasses drawing, painting, and printmaking. Born in Texas in 1947, he is the son of the late Frank X. Tolbert, a renowned journalist and co-founder of the original Chili's restaurant. Frank X. Tolbert II studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and has since developed a distinctive style that often incorporates elements of Texas history, wildlife, and personal narratives. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums across Texas and the United States, and he is recognized for his contribution to the regional art scene, as well as for his role in continuing the legacy of artistic storytelling in the Lone Star State.
