Every cent of every piece sold goes back to our associates in Honduras. Every day, these women expertly craft table runners, pillow covers, shawls, and other fiber arts items. Their income from each sale covers food and medical needs for their whole family, and school supplies and transportation to school for their children.  Ultimately, this work creates dignity and self-respect.

Barbara Velhum lives in Dallas and has created art in clay, paint, metal, and jewelry for the past 40 years. Barbara was a member of a mission trip team that began teaching Honduran women appliqué, embroidery, and sewing. The team continued to travel to Honduras to help the women form co-ops and to develop their skills, not only as artisans, but in leadership and business organization.  The co-ops provide an environment that give them the ability to financially support their families, to educate their children, to network with women from other villages, and to improve their lives.

• Dry clean or wash on gentle in cold water. Lay flat to dry. Press on wrong side with steam.
